"I Can Show You the World"

What an incredible promise. There's nothing I want more than to see the world. That phrase, "see the world," has become so cliche. But it captures the desire to see, experience, and feel everything that this earth has to offer to our human minds. That desire is felt by so many. Those who want to try something new, be someone new, go somewhere or live somewhere new, learn new things, find new work, anyone who dreams of change like that is sharing, in some part, in that very human desire to see the world.

And it's more than just travel, seeing cultures, peoples, mountains, rivers, monuments. It's seeing what it feels like to have a family, to love someone more than you love yourself. It's experiencing the stress of someone working three jobs to support a large family. It's having the capacity to enjoy the simple pleasures, like a good slice of pizza or walking barefoot in grass. It's understanding gravity, quarks, the weather system, and sociology. It's figuring out why one chord progression echoes in the human soul so well, and why people can't help but dance to good swing. Or, perhaps most importantly, it's understanding what you were meant to do and who you were meant to be with. In other words, creating the right family.

This world has more in it than can ever be understood in one lifetime, but I still want to try.
